Kukurin Contracting, Inc. (KCI) was founded in 1972 by the late William J. Kukurin. and his son, the Company’s current president, William J. Kukurin. The company, incorporated in 1981, began primarily as an underground utility contractor and has since established a long list of successful projects across diverse platforms including heavy highway, civil, mechanical, and environmental projects. To list a few:
We are proud to be a merit shop contractor and a long-standing, active member of Pennsylvania Utility Contractors Association (PUCA), National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) and Associated Builders and Contractors Association of Western Pennsylvania (ABC). Because we pride ourselves on working safely and completing projects on time and within budget, we have earned many awards from these agencies and associations for outstanding performance.
From our headquarters in Export, Pennsylvania, KCI services the surrounding western and central Pennsylvania municipal authorities, state, and federal agencies with our multi-million dollar heavy equipment fleet, which is adequate to perform most work. We have enjoyed steady, continuous growth and currently employ over 100 highly skilled field and office professionals. These top notch employees clearly set us apart from our competition. In addition, we believe certain operating principles are key to our past and future success:
We have always felt that these sound business practices benefit our customers as well as our employees, creating a dedication and loyalty that is unsurpassed. With over three decades of service and success behind us, KCI welcomes another Kukurin generation to the management team, William J. (Billy) Kukurin, to carry on the tradition.
